Measle was a guard in Butcher Bay Correctional Facility. He and Karmac guarded the hallway in front of Abbott's quarters. Measle thought that Riddick is tough. He however hadn't seen him, and only knew what he looked like by descriptions, which was quite accurate because he recognized Riddick's looks, when Riddick approached them. Measle however thought it was just a look-alike guard, since Riddick was wearing guard outfit.
