Sandcat

A Sandcat is a solar powered all terrain vehicle that can carry upwards of nine people.

History

The sandcat was originally designed by The Company for hauling mining samples across long distances, but due to its versatility and its ability to adapt to exotic terrains, it became a popular vehicle throughout the galaxy . Additionally, its solar power gave it the advantage of not needing fuel, as it would be constantly powered except at night and during eclipses.

One of the Hunter Gratzner crash survivors, Sharon Montgomery found a sandcat, at Geological Outpost T2. Thought it had been unused for 22 years, she was able to restart it with Jack's help. It was later abandoned next to the Hunter Gratzner, when the eclipse began and the power disappeared.

Trivia

• It is unclear why it can't be hooked up to a power cell. Possibly, because the power in the cell is massive, in order to power a ship.
